The Howard County Heritage Quilt Exhibit begins today. Visit the Seiberling Mansion in Kokomo between May 1 and August 30 and view 35 quilts on exhibit from the museum’s collection dating as far back as the 1840’s. The collection includes crazy quilts, signature quilts, bicentennial quilts, and many other quilts featuring a variety of patterns and materials.
The Quilt Exhibit will be on display Tuesday – Sunday from 1-4 pm. Admission is $4 for adults and $1 for kids 12 & under. For more information, call 765-452-4314 or visit www.HowardCountyMuseum.org.
Plan to bring a group and enjoy a full tour of the quilt exhibit and lunch at the Seiberling Mansion (10 person minimum and reservations are required.) There will be a Quilt Discovery & Documentation session offered on May 3 to learn more about your family quilts from quilt historian Xenia Cord. There will also be a quilt demonstration on August 2 by the Kokomo Piecemakers Club from 1-4 pm at the Seiberling Mansion.
