Hit a “home run” with your family with a visit to Kokomo Municipal Stadium to watch the Kokomo Jackrabbits baseball team. Tickets start at only $8. Themed game nights, giveaways, pre-game festivities, and Kid Zone for youngsters create a fun game-day experience. And best of all, it’s all within walking distance to Kokomo’s revitalized downtown, full of unique dining, shopping, art galleries, and adjacent to beautiful walking and biking trails along the Wildcat Creek!

Want to stay active during your visit? Canoe or kayak in the Kokomo Reservoir or down the Wildcat Creek. Kokomo Canoe & Kayak Rentals offer on-site delivery. Check out Kokomo Beach Family Aquatic Center, the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer afternoon, with its large leisure pool, high energy water slides, splash pad, kiddie slides, and relaxing lazy river. Show off your skills at Kokomo Pipeline Skate Park, a world-class facility in Jackson Morrow Park with 9,800 square feet of concrete – open for boards, bikes, and blades.

Other must-see events this summer include the 2016 Kokomo Air Show on Saturday, July 23, thrilling racing action at Kokomo Speedway, weekly Kokomo Park Band concerts in Highland Park, First Fridays (held year-round) in Downtown, the Cole Porter Classic “Kiss Me, Kate” performed by Kokomo Civic Theatre and Kokomo Symphony Orchestra on August 26-27 at the Kokomo Arts Pavilion, and the new Indiana University Kokomo Union Street Gallery.

2013 Taste of Kokomo brings food, fun & music to Foster Park!

Weberfest & Food Truck Fest Coming to Kokomo

Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band will be the headliner at the 2012 Weberfest in Foster Park

Looking for new ideas for family activities this summer?  Check out Weberfest and Kokomo’s First Food Truck Fest!  Weberfest will feature many great bands and musicians performing at the Kokomo Arts Pavilion in Foster Park, including Shiny Penny and the Critical Shoes, Broken Arrow, The Pummels, David Ralston Band, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, and many others.  Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets!  Concerts will be held Friday, August 3, 2012 from 4:00-11:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.  Foster Park is located in Downtown Kokomo near the intersection of Washington and Superior Streets.  Admission to all concerts is free.

There are also many unique festivals in Kokomo for visitors to experience this summer.  All ages will enjoy celebrating Kokomo’s automotive heritage with food, arts & crafts, sports, car show, daily cruise-ins, parade, carnival, and live music at the Haynes-Apperson Festival in Downtown Kokomo on June 28-30, 2012.  Also, visit one of Indiana’s largest county fairs at the Howard County 4-H Fair held at the Howard County Fairgrounds on July 9-14, 2012.

Experience the best of Kokomo cuisine at the Taste of Kokomo, an annual favorite in Downtown on August 18, 2012. Sample local food & drinks from hometown restaurants and enjoy live music, food contests, and kid’s activities throughout the event!  Bluegrass lovers will want to mark their calendars for August 24-26, 2012 to attend the Winding Creek Bluegrass Festival in Wildcat Valley (Western Howard County) for a multi-day music festival with bands performing the best in bluegrass throughout the weekend.

Kokomo’s 2012 Summer Concert Series Kicks Off This Weekend During RibFest


The Kokomo Summer Concert Series will kick off this weekend with The Average White Band headlining the concert on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Kokomo Arts Pavilion in Foster Park.  The Pavilion is located at the corner of Superior and Washington Streets in Downtown Kokomo.  The concert on Saturday will be held in conjunction with Kokomo RibFest, also in Foster Park from 4-11 p.m.   Music starts at 4 p.m.  Admission is free.

Concerts Continue to Rock in Foster Park

The newly built Kokomo Arts Pavilion in Foster Park has been rockin’ this summer with a variety of free concerts.  The great line-up is not over yet!  Bring a lawn chair or blanket and head to Foster Park (located at the corner of Washington & Superior Streets in Downtown Kokomo) for a wonderful night of music in the park!  Here are the upcoming concerts:
